Keynote Address: Understanding Animal Behavior

Please join us as world-renowned animal behaviorist, Temple Grandin, Ph.D., shares how in veterinary behavioral medicine the little things provide great insight. Author, speaker, professor. One of the 100 most influential people in the world, Time Magazine. Inductee into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and National Women’s Hall of Fame. There’s even a movie about her life! Dr. Grandin has a message: animal behavior is complicated and it’s vital for the veterinary team to put in the work to see what the animals in their care are seeing. This is one not to be missed!

Zoo Tour & Dry Labs

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo & Colorado Convention Center

Join us for a very unique off-site trip in beautiful Colorado Springs, CO. DeeAnn Wilfong (one of the original founders of the AAEVT and past AAEVT President) has graciously invited us to tour the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. She will be our guide for the day, touring around the zoo facilities, feeding the giraffes, interacting with the elephants, and more!
After a morning at the Zoo, we’ll arrive back to the Colorado Convention Center for some hands-on dry labs with new blood analysis tools, courtesy of Zoetis.
