Your AAEVT Spring 2018 Newsletter is available for download HERE or can be read online HERE. Includes a Message from our President, info on submissions for the Champions of the Cause Award, a great article about Disaster Preparedness from a member on the ground during the 2017 fires in Southern California, recap of our Northwest meeting in Idaho, plus much more!



Kentucky Anesthesia Society Event FULL, but many more events still to come in 2018!


Registration is closed for our June Anesthesia Society meeting at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, as all of the spaces have been filled. We will be using the wait list, in first-come order, if there are any cancellations.


BUT...we have four additional educational events remaining this year, including:

  • A half day of Anesthesia at our NEAEP wet labs in September, plus lectures on Shockwave and radiographic positioning.
  • Registration for our meeting in coordination with VTAT at TEVA in August is already open.
  • We are putting the finishing touches on our multi-day event at New Bolton
  • San Francisco is the site for this year's Annual Convention in December and it's sure to be another great conference!

Deadline Extended: Spring Scholarship for Online Certificate Program


The April 1 deadline has been extended to June 30, 2018. This scholarship is intended to assist veterinary technicians, assistants, practice managers, and students, who are employed by a licensed Veterinarian or enrolled in an AVMA/ CVMA accredited Veterinary Technology Program, in being able to enroll in the AAEVT Online Equine Certificate Program, as well as complete the courses or attend the required AAEVT Regional Symposium and wet lab to complete the program.

Champions of the Cause nomination deadline July 13, 2018


Two veterinary technicians/assistants will win all-expense paid trips to the 2018 AAEVT Annual Conference during the AAEP convention in San Francisco, California, be featured in the winter issue of EquiManagement magazine and each veterinarian nominator will win $1,000 for his or her clinic.
