Prior to joining Zoetis, Garnetta was the Veterinary Technician Strategy Lead for Hill’s Pet Nutrition for nine years, an adjunct faculty member in the veterinary technology program at SUNY Ulster. A 2003 graduate of the veterinary technology program at SUNY Delhi, Garnetta has worked as an LVT in small and mixed-animal practice and shelter medicine. Originally from London, England, Mr. Lock spent 8 years as a nuclear engineer and submarine driver before entering the world of medical device and biotechnology sales and marketing. As Vice-President of Sales and Marketing with Sanuwave, Adrian devoted his energy and resources to the development and commercialization of shock wave technology. An avid horse-lover for the majority of her life, Liz attended the University of Kentucky (UK) where she graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science, a specialty in Equine Sciences, and was a four-year member of the college’s Equestrian Team, she interned at the Maker’s Mark Secretariat Center, and also interned at Patterson Veterinary Supply’s distribution center. In 2013, Liz started her career in the animal health industry as a sales representative for a veterinary pharmaceutical company and then joined the PulseVet team in 2015. She now resides in Charlotte, NC and, in her spare time, can be found at the barn, chasing around her Boston Terrier puppy Mabel, or avidly cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats during football and (mostly) basketball season.

Dr. Claffey is an equine surgeon at Cornell Ruffian Equine Specialists, CRES, located on Long Island in Elmont, New York. She attended veterinary school at Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and went on to a surgical residency at Cornell University, staying as a clinical instructor in the Large Animal Surgery department before moving to Long Island to join the team at CRES. She enjoys working with all varieties of race and sport horses and grew up competing in three day eventing on mostly off the track Thoroughbreds.

Dr. Manfredi graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College (Prince Edward Island, Canada), and spent time in a private mixed large animal private practice and at two Chicago race tracks before completing a large animal surgical residency at the University of Minnesota. She completed a PhD at Michigan State in Comparative Medicine and Integrative Biology investigating testing and breed differences in Equine Metabolic Syndrome. Now an Assistant Professor, her current research interest focuses on the intersection of endocrine disease and sports medicine and rehabilitation of the performance horse.

Dr. Earl Gaughan worked in equine veterinary medicine in both private practice and the classroom before joining the Merck Animal Health team as an equine professional services veterinarian in 2013. Dr. Gaughan received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia, and he completed his equine surgery residency at the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University. He was in private equine and mixed practice for 5 years in Vermont and Maryland before entering his surgical training and then served in equine faculty positions at the veterinary schools at Kansas State, Auburn and Virginia Tech.  He also was a clinical equine surgeon at Littleton Equine Medical Center in Colorado.

Dr. Jennifer Quammen has been a leader in veterinary telemedicine for years and is the Chief Veterinary Officer at TeleVet. Growing up with doctors as parents, veterinary students renting space in their basement, and a love for animals, it’s no wonder that Joyce Guthrie ended up as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She spent a number of years in other occupations first: breeding & competing (Eventing & Dressage) with Appaloosa Sport Horses, along with riding instruction and training at her stables for many years. She also bred and trained harlequin Great Danes – the other great love of her life – in agility, obedience, rally, tracking and therapy work. When the stars finally aligned, Joyce went to Tech School and landed her dream job as the Equine Anesthesia and Surgery Technician at the University of Missouri Veterinary Health Center. Since working at MU-VHC, she has had to slow down her horse and Dane activities due to the time commitment, but it is a labor of love. She still has three Appaloosa Sport Horses, one pony, and lives with four Great Danes.
