Speaker Bio
The AAEVT Anesthesia Society’s core instructor, Dr. Lori Bidwell, received her DVM from Michigan State University in 2001 where she also completed an anesthesia residency.  She is a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesiologists and is a certified veterinary acupuncturist and massage therapist. Co-owner and Founder of East-West Equine Sports Medicine, Dr. Bidwell not only cares for equine patients, she also practices small animal, with an emphasis on canine acupuncture. She avidly competes in the Adult Jumpers and Equitation and enjoys exploring the many locations she visits by hiking with her dogs.

Surgery Technician Supervisor at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital (Lexington, KY), Nicole is passionate about practicing and teaching anesthesia. She loves to travel, read and spend time with family and her 3 pets. Nicole is also currently on our 2019 AAEVT Executive Board as our President-Elect.

Maggie is a key part of the teaching team at Michigan State’s Veterinary Medical Center and has been instrumental in the organization of our AAEVT Anesthesia Society. She has worked with Dr. Bidwell for many years and has lectured at several past Anesthesia meetings.

Lindsey has been leading the Anesthesia department at Tennessee Equine for over 7 years! Passionate about staying on the cutting edge of the field, she has been a driving force for the creation of the AAEVT Anesthesia Society – creating a space for equine anesthesia technicians to grow and network. Lindsey is also the current 2019 AAEVT President.
