Speaker Bio
Graduate of Berry College while concurrently working for the Gunby Equine Center, Lauren developed a variety of skills in accurate record keeping, aiding in inventory control, daily management and operations, veterinary assistance, and visitor relations. She has seventeen years of progressively more extensive equine care experience, from personal and farm management involvement to Veterinary assistance, and responsibility. Lauren is currently at Ocala Equine developing skills in anesthesiology, surgical assistance and recovery.

Speaker Bio
Born and raised in Michigan, Travis graduated from Baker College, Jackson and obtained his credentials as an LVT. Travis worked for eight years as a small animal technician in general practice, as well as a short time in surgical oncology, in his home state. Following his passion for horses, Travis made the move to Ocala, FL to work for Ocala Equine Hospital in 2014. With a focus solely on anesthesia, he completed a four month mentorship with Dr. Eric Abrahamsen, DACVAA. Since then, he has been credentialed in Florida as a CVT. Travis’ professional passions include pharmacology, airway surgeries and orthopedics; standing orthopedic surgeries.
Travis is an AAEVT Anesthesia Society Committee member and current President-Elect of the AAEVT.

Emily Pulliam, DVM

DVM, Ocala Equine

Speaker Bio
Dr. Pulliam is originally from Anchorage, AK and was raised in Sarasota, FL. She earned her bachelor’s degrees at the University of South Florida in 2011 and a Master of Science at the University of Florida Department of Animal Sciences in 2016. Dr. Pulliam graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2021 and began her internship at Ocala Equine Hospital shortly thereafter. A few of her professional interests include equine reproduction and breeding management, neonatal medicine & foal care, and soft tissue surgery.

Lindsey Schoelen, LVMT

Anesthesia Technician, Equine Surgical Center at Thorsport Farm
Nashville, TN

Speaker Bio
Lindsey has resided in Middle Tennessee for over 30 years but is actually an Oklahoma native. She has spent many years in varying aspects of the equine industry including training, showing, teaching, and reproduction. The last 15 years she has spent in veterinary medicine as a licensed technician for with a focus on surgery and anesthesia, as well as, medicine and triage. Lindsey is currently assisting with the creation & launch of the Equine Surgical Center at Thorsport Farm.
Lindsey is the current Chair of our AAEVT Anesthesia Society and a former President of the AAEVT.
