07 Dec Resource: Veterinary Social Work Program at the University of Tennessee
Dr. Strand at the University of Tennessee Veterinary School runs the Veterinary Social Work Program (VSW). It is dedicated to helping owners deal with pet loss, including support group meetings, and to also help veterinary staff deal with compassion fatigue (along with many other situations that we may face).
The VSW team has been an invaluable resource to some of our AAEVT Members at the University during the challenging times 2020 has brought. You can view the program’s offerings HERE and hopefully this will resonate with other AAEVT members and become a resource not only for them, but for their clients as well.
