EHV-1 case prompts quarantine of equestrian center
A horse in Colorado tested positive for EHV-1 and was euthanized due to severe neurological symptoms. Now, the Castlewood Equestrian Center has been placed under quarantine while officials determine whether other horses are ill. "We will continue to trace the movement of this horse and those horses it came into contact with in order to protect Colorado's equine industry," said state veterinarian Keith Roehr.
